Work
September was very much a Heder Bank month. A lot of the work is now in the less shiny part of building a bank: daily banking flows, operational details, web releases, customer communication, document flows, and making sure the actual banking systems underneath behave like one coherent product.
Side Projects
A few things moving in parallel:
Pie Menu had a big month: I launched Pie Menu 2.0. It adds themes, submenus, custom icons, portable settings transfer, better light and dark appearance handling, and community sharing for both themes and shortcut configurations.
Teamlet is becoming more real in my own work. It started as a better Microsoft Teams client, but the current direction is broader: making work conversations calmer, easier to search, and more useful with AI in the loop. Still not public, but I am using it enough that the rough edges are becoming obvious, which is usually a good sign.
I also kept poking at smaller tools in the margins: the school-week SMS project I wrote about in my 2025 review, some app-store/SEO automation, and a backlog of blog drafts that are embarrassingly close to publishable.
Family
September means the real calendar starts again: school, kindergarten, soccer, swimming, scouts, parent meetings, birthdays, and the usual family logistics layer on top of everything else.
Health
September was a bit heavier physically too. I attended both Toughest and Trolljegerprøven, and then took a couple of rest weeks because the body was tired. Back onto the grind again now: short strength sessions when the morning allows it, biking as the default transport, and using the commute as a small pocket for thinking with an AI in my ear.
